Company Background

Xaxius was founded at the peak of the dot com crash in the summer of 2001 right when the markets and so-called experts were saying "the Internet is dead". The founders of our company made it their personal mission to disprove this theory.

The company was initially called "Dot This" as it was focused on web specific business. Through the acquisition of a design company, Dot This broadened its scope of business services and outgrew the Dot This brand. The company was rebranded as Xaxius.

The word Xaxius cannot be found in any dictionary. Our creative team needed to generate a high impact name that had no perceptions attached to it. Like the company, the name needed to be unique and not classify the company's services into any one category.

The Xaxius team is comprised of highly skilled individuals working together to meet a common goal. We strive to produce exceptional work and make Xaxius clients very happy.

All work and no play equals early career burnout, so Xaxius team members enjoy a variety of flexible benefits that allow them a better quality of life such as remote work locations and nearby access to some of Ontario's best recreational facilities. During the summer, it's not uncommon to see team members escorted from the building with direct orders to go and play.
